INTRODUCTION:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team. Your expertise in patient assessment, diagnosis, and treatment will be crucial in delivering comprehensive healthcare services in a variety of clinical settings. OPPORTUNITY:

Rimrock is a qualified STAR LRP Site and NHSC LRP Workforce and candidates can qualify for various student loan repayment programs.

 

JOB SUMMARY:

Provide health exams and related medical services to Rimrock’s patients under supervision of the Chief Medical Officer. Assures adherence to state statutes and rules, CARF standards, and federal regulations including HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2. Positively represents the organization and promotes Rimrock’s mission to the community.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Provides admission health exams to all patients admitted to Rimrock Inpatient or Residential services within regulatory guidelines and adhere to prompt documentation guidelines.
  2. Prescribes and orders medication as indicated for all admitted patients for medication administration.
  3. Maintains records according to Rimrock, State, Federal and CARF standards.
  4. Assures that patients are screened for infectious diseases.
  5. Provides consultation and education to staff as needed.
  6. Conducts medication or other health-related groups and educational lectures as scheduled for staff and clients.
  7. Actively participates in PCM and daily staffing as assigned.
  8. Provides health screening for patients admitted to the Medical Withdrawal Unit.
  9. Provides evaluations, medications and follow-up services to patients with co-occurring disorders when scheduled.
  10. Provides primary care in an outpatient setting.
  11. Provides Office Based Opioid Treatment (OBOT) medication compliance and follow up care.

EDUCATION/TRAINING:  Master of Physician Assistant Studies Degree or Master Level Nurse Practitioner.

 

CERTIFICATE OR LICENSE: Licensed in State of Montana as Physician Assistant or as Advanced Practice Registered Nurse with Prescriptive Authority.

 

SKILLS: Candidate must have empathy and the ability to work with diverse patients in multiple settings. The ability to organize and maintain personal schedule, writing and oral communication skills, computer skills, including medical documentation in electronic health records and proficiency with Microsoft software including Word, Excel and Outlook.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Work is indoors in an office environment with moderate noise.  Intermittent physical effort involving lifting of up to 25 pounds, walking and stooping is required.  A typical workday involves sitting, frequent use of a keyboard, reaching with hands and arms, and talking and hearing, approximately 70% of the time.  Approximately 30% or less of the time is spent standing.  Normal vision abilities required, including close vision and ability to adjust focus.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT/JOB LOCATIONS: Involves everyday risk or discomfort requiring normal safety precautions in an office setting, meeting room and patient care areas.  Work may involve mental and emotional stress. Some driving required. Will work primarily at Main Facility.
